Bishop Dr Farai Katsande
The Founder
Bishop Dr Farai Katsande was born in Mudzi in Jeke village to Mr. Alewis, Chigwete and Mrs, Diana Nchimbu. He became a believer in 1985 under the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God, Africa (ZAOGA) Church and later on moved to Ambassadors for Christ Church Int. Under Apostle Abel K. Sande. Bishop Dr Farai Katsande is passionate about community transformation and has initiated many community projects through several organizations he leads, LIFE International, Zimbabwe, LIFE Ministry Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Council of Pentecostal Churches. Some of the works include building school blocks in Wedza, building a school in Nyanga, drilling water wells across the Country and sending kids to school in Mudzi. Currently Bishop Katsande is the presiding Bishop for Christ Connect Family Church, and Global Vice President, Africa for Campus Crusade for Christ. He holds a Diploma in Church Leadership, Nehemiah Bible Institute, Several Diplomas in Accounting, Master in Leading Innovation and Change, Doctoral in Transformational Leadership, Bakke Graduate University, Dallas, Texas; Ph.D. Organizational Leadership, Regent University, Virginia, USA. He also serves as the Provost for Africa Leadership and Management Academy (ALMA), and Chancellor of International Leadership University, Kenya. He is Married to Chipo and have three Children, Michael Tatenda, Trinity Wadzanai, Trish Nokuthula Katsande.
History
The late Chief Goronga approached Bishop Farai Katsande and John Matsika after the handover of the two blocks they had built at Muzezuru Primary School in Partnership with LIFE Ministry Zimbabwe. Bishop Katsande and the late Chief Goronga agreed to work together to transform the community. The Chief and the Councillor agreed to engage the community to make bricks and Bishop Katsande would work on the construction. Muzezuru Grace Life Clinic was to run as a Missions Clinic under Bishop Katsande’s Christ Connect Family Church. Grace Life Clinic opened its doors to the Public on 19 December 2022.
